[The video feed comes on to show Leo’s face, unruly blonde hair whipping about his sharp features. He is wearing a pale pink coat with a silvery fur collar, but his expression doesn’t match the cute look at all. Being on camera, his defenses are up and he looks guarded. Behind him is the fountain and the town square.]

So, I’ve put this here... I was gonna do a text post but I figured this way folks can add to it or whatever.

[The camera turns to show the bulletin board then zooms in and focuses on a particular note. It’s hand written in black biro. Something he has been working on following his conversations with Seamus, Tamhas and Ardyn respectively. The note reads:]

Reaching the tower
Experiments / Attempts
Method: Flight
Attempted by: Goddess Hera, Ardyn Azunia
Findings: Hera reported when she tried to fly to the tower, she somehow ended up back where she started. Ardyn concluded after experimenting with flying that it wasn’t possible to reach the Tower that way.

Ideas
• Build / Locate a boat and use it to sail to the Tower
• Swim

It’s just the start of a list. Ways I hear folks have tried to reach the Tower so far and ideas I've heard thrown around.

I know it’s not anybody's favorite subject, but maybe we could get into it some more? We all want the same thing, right? So it’s probably better if we put our heads together.

Some people here can do things others can't, like fly, or teleport or whatever... [About this he sounds frustrated. He is not one of those extraordinary people.]

Anyway, if anyone makes any attempts or wants to talk about ideas, it’d be cool if [there is a slight a pause as he slows down to say “you all” instead of “y’all”] you all could note it here. Or tell me, or something and I can put it down for you.

[There is another pause as he turns the camera again. In the background the sound of wind whipping the mic as well as that of a nearby telephone ringing can be heard. Momentarily, Leo looks concerned and distracted before he turns back to the camera to sign off. He's nervous, sure that this idea is going to be perceived as dumb and fully expecting to be criticised, shut down, or ignored.]

Okay, yeah. Thanks. [He gives two finger salute and cuts the feed]

[ The video recording comes on to a very bright, golden eye. Said eye retracts, showing Ardyn's face and the red-violet hair framing it. He's smiling like he always does - rougish, handsome, and entirely untrustworthy. There's the sound of waves and surf crashing behind him. ]

[ His voice has the same jovial insincerity of his smile. He taps the side of his device, making the recording shake a little. His grin widens, showing a sickle slice of teeth. ]

Hello! Hello there, yes, to you specifically! You'll want to hear this: I've conducted a little test.

[ He extends his arm out. The camera tilts as he tries to get both himself and the beach into the shot. Over the iron-grey sand and the cold, uninviting waves, the Dark Tower looms. Ardyn grins. ]

You can't reach it by flight. Sorry to say! But that's one method covered, isn't it? Awfully good to know.

[ The camera is pulled back in. Ardyn smiles again. ]

Hello. My name is Libra. I've met a couple of you so far, but not everyone, I don't believe. I'm what's called a War Monk, from the area of Ylisse. If you need a warrior, I can help with that, but I'm more inclined to be a healer.

I found a church here... there's a hole in the roof and there seems to be a stream flowing through it, but if no one has any protest, I would like to set up here. If no one has any objections, of course.

I'll be keeping it taken care of as well as I can... and I may try to patch up the roof.

I could use some assistance at my place.

I'm in need of some extra water, and maybe someone who has healing hands or knows a thing or two about medicine and don't mind animals. I don't wanna leave my house at the moment and risk leaving her alone.

...I know there's a hospital, but I don't feel right takin' potential care away if someone needs it more right then and there.

It's not serious yet, but I know wounds can turn bad real fast without help, and I ain't a healer. If someone knows anything about horses or mules, that'd be real appreciative too. Her name's Lulabelle and she's my world so any assistance in patching my mule up would be mighty appreciated.

As far as beaches went, this one wasn’t the aesthetically pleasing kind. In fact it reminded him of the shores of the Lighthouse and consequently of the way he had felt last time he was there, despondent and quietly longing for something he had no way of reaching.

It has come to my attention that in the past few days* there have been several newcomers to World's End. Herein is a short list of things that will make your stay here more comfortable.

Cold Weather. World's End is frequently cold. It is advised that you seek out tailors who will outfit you with clothing suited to the weather.

Commerce. World's End uses the unit 'credits' to denote monetary value. You may take valuables you have arrived with, or scavenged, to the bank and run the banking application on your phone to access the deposit box. The terminal will walk you through the steps necessary. Note: Many people of World's End will also barter or accept labour in exchange for goods and services. Be sure to ask.

Food. As you have no doubt seen, most of the food here comes from mutant stock. Everything sold in established shops and eating venues is perfectly edible. Strange tastes or textures are common, but your palette will adjust. To learn more about foraging or hunting, enquire with known hunters and they may show you safe ways to gather your own food. Do not eat anything you find unless you are certain it is safe.

Medical needs. A free hospital is located in the main building of the Sanctuary. Triage, both magical and mundane in nature, can be found here. Do not go to the hospital located elsewhere in the city. Entry will result in injury or death.

Bathing. The Bathhouse in the city square is open to all. Make a habit of using it when needed. The attendants will let you know more.

I do hope that this information will find you in good stead. I will take sensible questions in the comments of this post.

[It had been a few days since he had turned up At Worlds End and he'd not spoken to many people since the first day. That day there had been so many new faces to adjust to, and so many potential friends, foes and threats to wrap his head around. It was overwhelming.

Leo preferred to get used to a new situations on his own where no one could see him fail or struggle, where no one could judge him while he took time to work things out. After a while treading carefully around the City, trying to get his bearings, he began to understand he wasn't going to adjust any time soon. To get by in this place he was going to have to interact with people, since even getting food and water could be dangerous. He had found somewhere to sleep at the sanctuary which was rent free, but he still couldn't shake the feeling that he was racking up a debt. Earning some currency would be good, he had heard that in the right place weapons could be bought, and maybe even cigarettes. His previous methods of earning money, well... He really doesn't want to resort to those. Not yet anyway, not if there are other options.]

So, hey.

I don't know if this is something that's done, but I guess I want to introduce myself to folks around here. My name is Leo Corr. I turned up a few days ago through a door on the beach. I hear that's a thing that happens around here.

I was wondering if someone could fill me in on whether there any jobs in the City? Or at least a way to score a cigarette and a light. If anyone is hiring, I'll speak to them.

Also, I guess I'm curious to know if anyone has any plans. What have people tried?
You know. To get there?
